Alice was born in Rutland in 1794, the daughter of David and Martha (Rice) Howe.[1] She married David Browning 18 April 1816 in Rutland.[2][3] They lived in Rutland and Hardwick and had four children. She died in Hardwick 22 July 1829 when her last children, twin boys Frederick and Charles were a year old.[4]
