Frederick Cutler Howe was born in Marlborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 6 Feb 1855, the son of Thomas Jason Howe and Caroline M. Cutler.[1] He married Evelyn R. Fessenden of Arlington, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 19 Nov 1884.[2] They moved to New York City, where he and his brother Charles F. Howe ran a mercantile business under the name Frederick C. Howe & Bro.[3] He returned to Cambridge, Mass., appearing there in the 1900 census. He died in Arlington, Mass. 3 Jun 1909.[4]
