Concord vital records show a Hannah Howe who died 24 Nov 1683 in Concord, daughter of Samuel Howe and unlisted wife. This cannot be the Hannah Howe who was born three months later in January 1684 (old calendar, January 1683). They are two different Hannah Howes. The dates recorded in the old calendar confused the issue by making it appear to modern eyes that the January 1683 birth of the second Hannah came before the November 1683 death, but under the old calendar, January (11th month) came after November (9th month) in the same year. Translated to the modern calendar, the birth was in January 1684. This Hannah is probably a daughter of Samuel and his first wife Mary Woolie, born about 1675 or 1676 and died young. The birth date is projected from the known birth dates of other children.

In the old calendar, the death date of 24 Nov 1683 is before the birth date of 18 Jan 1683. As recorded in Concord records, these are shown as birth 18.11.83 (which translates to 18 Jan 1684 in the modern calendar) and death as 24.9.83 (which translates as 24 Nov 1683).. These cannot be the same Hannah Howe.
The daughter of Samuel Howe and Sarah Leavitt in Sudbury is Hannah Howe-101. The daughter of Samuel Howe and Mary Nutting in Concord is Hannah Howe-9493. The Hannah Howe who died 24 Nov 1683 may be an earlier daughter of Samuel of Concord, birth date unidentified. From the known birth dates of other children, she is most likely a daughter of Samuel and his first wife Mary Woolie, born in 1675 or 1676.
This person may be bogus as she relates to Samuel (Howe-3) and Sarah (Leavitt-2)
Samuel married Sarah (Leavitt) Clapp in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay on 18 Sep 1685. This person's birth is shown in this profile as Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay on 18 Jan 1683 with Sarah (Leavitt-2) as the mother. This person's ACTUAL birthdate should be 18 Nov 1683 and she is simply shown as "of Sam" (see: http://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Middlesex/Concord/Images/Concord_026.shtml) Given that Samuel (Howe-3) remained in Sudbury throughout his life and that he already had a daughter named Hannah (see Howe-101) by his first wife Martha, I think that this connection should be re-evaluated.
Emily, Please give permission to merge Howe 1069 with Howe-7 as they are both the same person. I would like to clean up the children and siblings of Samuel Howe as we have a lot of duplicates. You could also put me on the trusted list of Howe-7 and I could complete the merge if you like. thanks, Dee
