James Washburn Howe was born in Plymouth, Vermont 12 April 1816, the son of Benjamin Clough and Sabra (Washburn) Howe. He married Nancy Goss 30 Mar 1841 in Danville, Vermont. They lived in Cabot, Vermont, where he was a farmer. They had 8 children in Cabot. He died there 16 Dec 1865.[1]
