Sarah Howe married John Barnes at Marlborough, Massachusetts, on 8 Mar 1785.[2]
Research Notes
Marlborough Vital Records list a Sarah Barnes, widow of John, died 4 or 5 Nov 1815 at age 88. That is clearly a different Sarah Barnes, since this Sarah Barnes' husband John was still alive in 1815 and she was not age 88. Also, they moved to Chelsea, Vermont soon after marriage according the Howe Genealogies.
The Find a Grave site listed below shows her probable death in St. Lawrence, New York on 15 Jan 1844.

See the added Research Notes for Sarah (Howe) Barnes. I believe this will resolve the death date. Neither date in the two profiles to be merged was correct.
Note that the larger Howe number should be merged into the smaller.
