Born in Methuen 29 May 1760. He served in the Revolution in Col. Titcomb's Regiment in 1777 and in Col. Nathaniel Wade's Regiment in 1778. He married Mrs. Lois (Stevens) Ayer, widow of Perley Ayer and daughter of Ephraim Stevens on 5 June 1784. They lived in Haverhill, where they had seven children.[1]
