Biography

Born in New Haven, Connecticut 18 Feb ;1706. He married Thankful Rogers about 1730. They had 10 children. They lived in East Haven, where he died in 1759. His will was dated 17 March 1759 and it was presented to the court in August 1759, so he died between those dates. . His will mentions wife Thankful, sons John, Isaac. Andrew, Samuel, William and Joshua, daughters Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah. The inventory rendered in Jan. 1760, shows an estate of 715 pounds, less debts of 51 pounds. The same record shows the appointment of son Andrew as guardian of the minor children, Samuel, William, Joshua and Sarah under date of March 1761. He appointed his sons John, Isaac and Andrew as executors of the will.[1] (needs Ancestry login)[2]
