A prior version of this profile reported his birth at West Mattituck, Livingston, New York, 1694, and death as Southampton, Suffolk, 9 Nov 1709. A proposed merge of this Richard Howell (Howell-1065) and Richard Howell (Howell-159) was at one time rejected with the comment, "Howell 1065 is clearly in error on birth date and on the location. In 1694 there was no Livingston County, NY, though there was Mattituck in Suffolk County. Since 1065 has been abandoned, it should probably be removed altogether."

Hopeful we can learn more about this early Richard Howell, especially the information, sources and analysis from a couple of modern, published genealogies, specifically

The other profile reports the 1709 data in error. See Richard Howell I (1629---this is Richard^2 Howell, son of Edward^1, both of Southampton. Howell-159 has been updated; no longer reports the 1709 will.

Are there any objections to removing the birth data I can include a note about it in a research note.
Edited to add: There are four other profiles of a man by this name reporting death data as [on or after] 9 November 1709. Two others are Richard Howell I (bef.1640-1709) and Richard Howell (abt.1665-)
