Ester L Howell was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Beat 1, Itawamba County, Mississippi for the April 11, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1918 in Alabama and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Joe T Howell, wife Eula E Howell, son Onis W Howell, daughter Manell Howell and mother Lidia Howell.^[1]

Esther L. Howell Thorn is buried at Ridge Cemetery in Itawamba County, Mississippi.^[2]
