1850 Census. Tilman Howell Jr. was living in Itawamba County, part of Itawamba, Mississippi. He was 43 and born in Illinois. Martha was also living with him. She was 79 and born in Alabama. There were 9 children in the home. All of the children were born in Alabama except for Catherine (Katha) and Rebecca and they were both born in Mississippi. They were living next door to Elijah Howell. The children were as follows:
