Biography

Sarah Howell was born at 5 Grafton St, Mountpottinger, East Belfast, on the 27th of October, 1871.^[1][2][3] She was the daughter of customs officer Henry Howell and Jane Bone.

The family moved to Glasgow, Scotland, before the birth of her sister Anna in August 1874. In 1881 Sarah was living in Glasgow with her parents and attending school.^[4]
