Desire Howes was the daughter of Prince Howes and Dorcas Joyce. She was born in Yarmouth, Massachusetts on 22 May 1696.[1][2][3] On 17 Feb 1719, she married Jonathan Hallett, son of Jonathan Hallett and Abigail Dexter, in Yarmouth. [2][4][5]Desire and Jonathan had, at least, eleven children. Desire passed away in Yarmouth on 30 April 1775. [6][7]

Mehitable Hallett (1740-????) possibly married William Swift (1719-1809) as his second wife in 1772[10]
