Biography

Helen was born in 1775. She was the daughter of Alexander Ralston and Janet Huie. [1]

She married David Ralston in 1800 [2]

They had the following children:

Robert 1802–1890
Alexander 1808–1892
Margaret Caldwell 1811–1899
David 1823–1886

After her husband died in 1841, Nellie came to the US in 1842 on the "Gleaner". [3].

She traveled with her youngest son David, her daughter Margaret and her husband John Caldwell, and his mother Elizabeth Howie. [4]

She passed away in 1855.
