Lemuel Howland, son of Justus and Abigail (Fish) Howland, was born Sandwich 28 Oct 1742,[1] baptized there 19 Dec 1742, and died there 5 Jan 1803 aged 61 years. Lemuel Howland served in the Revolutionary war as private in Captain Simeon Fishe's company, Colonel Freeman's regiment with service of 11 days on an alarm at Dartmouth and Falmouth in September 1778 (MSSR 8:407) He was a descendant of John(2) Howland.[2]
