Location Comment

Her birth location lies in the southernmost coastal area of Massachusetts. Dartmouth, Bristol, Mass. borders the complete eastern side of Rhode Island. Newport and Bristol, RI (relatively large colonial developments) being about equidistant from Dartmouth.
Old Dartmouth’s town borders were originally named in the land purchase from the Wampanoag Indian Chief, Massasoit, as the lands of "Acushnea, Ponagansett, and Coaksett”; the present-day municipalities of Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven, Acushnet, Westport, Tiverton and Little Compton.
In 1789, the towns of Westport and New Bedford, which included Fairhaven and Acushnet, separated from Old Dartmouth and were incorporated as towns themselves.

Thank you Eunice but I'm uncertain what you are asking me to do. I'm not a PM for the duplicate Josiah profiles.

I see that you've recently repeated your message above (about the duplicate Josiah Wood profile's) onto the Josiah and (father) William Wood profiles. That's good, the message is now better placed for future researchers.
