Hiram John Howland was born in 1884 in Glebe, Colony of New South Wales, son of John Howland (1862–1936) and Ada Jane Holme (1865–1941).
Hiram (23) married Catherine Ryan (19) (born on June 17, 1888 in Glebe; daughter of Laurence Ryan and Mary (Davern) Ryan) in 1908 in Glebe. Their son was Hiram John Howland (1916–1990).
Hiram died in 1921 in Glebe, New South Wales, Australia, aged 36.[1]
