Lochlan was born in 1911. He was the son of Henry Howlett and Alice Foley. He passed away in 1943. [1]
Lochlan enlisted in the Australian Air Force (RAAF) during WW2[2] and was Killed In Action during an air battle over Milne Bay, New Guinea.
Lochlan's name appears on the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra[3] and at the Bomana War Cemetery and Memorial at Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. He is memorialised at Bumberrah Cemetery, Bumberrah, Victoria, Australia.[4]
