Huell Howser was an American television personality, best known for hosting, producing, and writing California's Gold, produced by KCET in Los Angeles for California PBS stations. The archive of his video chronicles offers an enhanced understanding of the history, culture, and people of California.

In 2011, Huell voiced the Backson in the Walt Disney animated feature film, Winnie the Pooh.

I met Huell briefly at a Los Angeles Conservancy event, where I believe he was the auctioneer. He was really sweet, coming up to me with a compliment, and letting me get a photo with him, before the event started.
