Sgt. Clinton M Hoy, husband of Mrs. Maria Hoy, 300 Carrol Drive N.W., Sierra Vista, Ariz.Anderson Herald

Clinton M hoy, son of Isaac Thomas Hoy (1884-1950) and Helena Ullrich (1886-), was born in 1930 in South Dakota. He was one of six siblings. Clinton married Maria Unknown on 18 December 1954 in Salzburg, Austria. Maria was born in Klagenfurt, Karnten, Austria, on 30 July 1925, "and now resides at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona.

Clinton was among the 92 service men lost in the Flying Tiger disaster.

March 15, 1962, three years before American combat troops were sent to Vietnam, 104 people lost their lives when a charter flight operated by Flying Tiger Line on behalf of the Military Air Transport Service was lost in the Pacific Ocean while en route to Saigon, Vietnam, on a secret mission. No wreckage or remains were ever found. Flying Tiger flight 739
