Biography
"Pilot training at Spence Field, California, finishing in December 1943. Deployed to North Africa. Assigned to the 111th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron in Corsia to fly recon missions over the south of France in support of Operation Anvil Dragoon. Shot down at 6:50 pm on 22 Aug 44 while flying his Mustang P-51-F6A accompanied by his flight leader, Roy Simmons, in another Mustang."
