Biography

Mary was born to David Hoyt and Mary Wilson around 1684 in the Massachusetts Bay Colony [1].

At the time of the Deerfield raid, Mary had been in Hatfield, therefore missing the attack [2]

Mary married Judah Wright on April 4, 1707, in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts.[3] [4] [5].

They had several children including: [6] [7]

  • Judah - born January 28th, 1708
  • Mary - born May 23rd, 1709
  • David - born January 11th, 1711/12
  • Sarah - born October 23rd,1713
  • Noah - born March 27th, 1716
  • Asahel - born October 8th, 1721

Mary passed away on July 23rd, 1769 in Wapping of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was buried in the Old Deerfield Burying Ground [8].

  • The family name was been found in records to have been spelled a myriad of ways such as Hoyte, Hoit, Hyott, etc.
