Race Car Driver. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a race car driver mainly competing in the National Championship races including two Indianapolis 500 races in 1950 and 1955. For the 1955 Indy, he started the race from the pole position and finished 31st. He died at age 26 after crashing in a sprint race in Oklahoma City. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
