He was a carpenter and joiner; lived in Milton, Saratoga Co., and Owasco, Cayuga Co, NY. d. Aug 12 1831, in North Fairfield, Huron Co., Ohio. Died from a fall in a barn. He was living in Stamford, Ct., as late as June, 1786, when his uncle, John Hair, Jr., ent. his ear-mark there,.

Wife Lois d. march 15, 1858, aged 83.

"...He was married to Miss Lois Starr, of Danbury, Conn.,....His five children were Sally, Almira, Lois, Silas (who died in youth) and Walter. In politics Eliphalet was a Democrat"^[1]
