Biography
Charlotte Hoyt was born in 1814 in Sussex, Kings, New Brunswick.
Charlotte (~21) married Daniel Holmes (21) (born in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia on 9 Jul 1814; died in Petitcodiac, Westmorland, New Brunswick on 24 May 1883), son of Samuel Holmes and Phoebe Holstead, on 24 Mar 1836 in Sussex Vale, Kings. Their children were:
- Harriet Olivia (Holmes) Jones (1842 - 1885)
- William Nelson Holmes (1846 - 1931)
- Charles Robert Holmes (1852 - 1945)
- Charlotte Elizabeth (Holmes) Kinnear (1854 - 1878).
Charlotte died on 27 Mar 1872 in Petitcodiac aged ~57. She is buried in Petitcodiac Baptist Cemetery, Petitcodiac.[1]
Charlotte was born in 1814. She passed away in 1872. Per the New Brunswick Courier (Saint john NB, April 16 1836):
- MARRIED [Sussex Vale], 24th ult., by [Rev. H.N. Arnold], Daniel Holmes, Salisbury parish, Westmorland Co./ Charlotte Hoyt 2nd d/o James Hoyt, Sussex parish.
