According to his World War I draft registration, he was of medium height and build, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Miss Jessie I. Durand and Burr C. Hoyt, both of this city were united in marriage last evening by Rev. Dr. J. P. Sankey, of the United Presbyterian Church.

From the "Democrat and Chronicle," Rochester, NY, Dec. 19, 1949, p. 20,

Burr Churchill Hoyt, 74, of 206 Augustine St., a member of an old Rochester family, died yesterday (Dec. 18, 1949) after a long illness. He had been retired for more than 15 years and previously had worked for Defender Photo Supply Company.
Mr. Hoyt was the last survivor of the family of Elizabeth Breck Hoyt and David Hoyt. David Hoyt was secretary and treasurer of the Monroe County Savings Bank. Breck St. was named for Mrs. Hoyt's parents.
Mr. Hoyt is survived by his wife, Jessie Durand Hoyt, and two daughters, Mrs. James Hauver and Mrs. Gerald Covell, and five grandchildren.
