Sarah 'Sally' Hubbard was born in 1764 in Virginia. She married James Hugh Forbis in 1788 in her hometown. They had at least six children:
Mahala (1800–1857), married Bowlin Cox
Nathaniel Welcher (1801–1867), married Sarah Cox
Felix Grundy (1817–aft 1850)
Lorenzo Don (-aft 1835)
Martha "Patsy", married Charles Taylor in 1816
Thurza (-aft 1835)
James died on October 24, 1839 and Sally died in 1857[1] in Glasgow, Kentucky, at the impressive age of 93, and was buried there.[2]
