Biography

John Nicholas Hubbard was born 13 December 1802 at Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was a son of Moses Hubbard and Elizabeth Hodges.[1]

On 5 Sep 1831, a marriage license was issued to John N. Hubbard and Lucy P Carter at Pittsylvania County; Thomas Carter was Security (Pittsylvania County Marriage Register).[1] Rev. Orson Martin performed the wedding on 15 September 1831 (Ministers' Returns).[1]

In 1836, John and Lucy Hubbard moved to Warren County, Missouri, along with the family of John's brother, Daniel.[1]

John Hubbard died at Warren County, before 21 February 1859, when William T. Carter was named guardian of the heirs of John N. Hubbard, deceased. His heirs were Milton C. Hubbard, James A. Hubbard, Richard H. Hubbard, and William H. Hubbard. This document was recorded at Pittsylvania County, Virginia (Pittsylvania Deed Book 58, page 461).[1]
