—————— ◦ Jeremiah's marriage application: ◦ ◦ "Jenuary th 23 1682. ◦ Jemaco on Long iland in the north Riding of new Yorkshear Jeremiah Hubburd of Jemaco and rebeckah Brush of hunting-town wee desire that you would grant us our request in sending us a lissanc for to be married to Mr. West I prey sur send them without feyle and I will sartisfie you well for it I have no mony at presnet but you shall by shure of it John Conkclyne rebeka brush's grandfather deth his con free consent to the mache. ◦ ◦ John Conkelyne ◦ Seynior ◦ Jeremiah Hubbard ◦ Rebeckah Brush" ◦ ◦ The license was granted January 31, 1682/3, and Jeremiah Hobart/Hubard married Rebecca Brush on 8 February 1682/3. A license was given for their marriage 31 Jan 1682 after application 23 Jan 1682 as per Documented History of NY Vol. 3 page 100 of the quarto edition. This quaint document within NY Colonial Manuscripts Vol. 31 page 8.^[1]

In 1684 John "Conkelyne" made his will and mentioned his granddaughter, Rebecca HUBERT to whom he gave one horse or mare. After his marriage, Jeremiah Hobart continue living in Jamaica where he was assessed on 34 pounds on 6 acres of land in 1683. On 6 April 1685 Samuel Davis and his wife, mary, of Jamaica deeded to Jeremiah HUBBARD of Jamaica ten acres in that town. On 15 December 1686 Jeremiah HUBBARD, Daniel Whitehead and William Creed, all of Jamaica, exchanged Jamaica lands. On 2 November 1687 Richard Rhodes of Jamaica deeded Jamaica land lying next to that of Jeremiah HUBBARD. ◦ ◦ Jeremiah Hobart evidently moved his family from Jamaica to Huntington in 1688, for on 20 August of that year the town voted him three acres "in paet division of his land." On 12 September 1688 DAvid Scudder and his wife, mary, deeded Jeremiah land and rights in commonage in Huntington. On the Huntington rate list of 1688 Jeremiah HUBBARDS was assessed 24 pounds. On 1 April 1690 he witnessed three separate transfers of land by mark Meigs. In 1694 he was assessed 14 shillings, 6 pence for the new town patent and in the same year he took up a 200 pound right in commonage which belonged to Jacob Brush. On 13 April 1696 he witnessed a deed of gift by timothy Conklin, Sr. to his son, JohnConklin. Jeremiah was chosen town collector on 1 May 1711. ◦ ◦ Jeremiah Hobart was a cooper in Huntington. On 12 January 1699 he and his wife, Rebecca, deeded to John Conklin land in West Neck. Jeremiah deeded land to Obadiah Rogers "for a valuable consideration" on 24 December 1715. On 1 February 1715/6, Jeremiah HOBART conveyed to his "well beloved Son Joseph Hobert of Huntington A halfe hundred Right of Land Scituate Lying and being within the town of Huntington aforsd and Nine Acres of other land being in the west neck...". Jeremiah also conveyed land to Jonathan Rogers on 24 December 1715 and to James White on 10 July 1716. he witnessed the will of John Scidmore on 10 January 1727/8. ◦ ◦ Jeremiah Hobart died in Huntington soon after 3 March 1729/30 as is shown in the following document: ◦ ◦ "The estate lands, etc. of Jeremiah Hobart late deceased were ganted to Robert Brush and Ebenezer Prime (Presumably executors of Jeremiah's will) executed shortly before his death bearing date 3 Mar. 1729/30 and ordering sale of lands, etc....and whereas Jeremiah, cooper, of Huntington, son and heir to Jeremiah Hobart, deceased assigned all claims bearing date 15 June 1729, we Robert Brush and Ebenezer Prime deed to Reuben Brush one equal third part....of certain lands."
