Oliver was born in 1812 at Butler in what is later called Richland County, Ohio. Oliver was the son of Abijah Hubble, a pioneer of Indiana who had migrated from New Jersey via Ohio. "The History of the Hubbell Family " documents that Ahijah and his wife Sarah Jacobs had a son Oliver who died before 1880. This Oliver's older sibling was born in 1809 in Ohio. [1]. Much of Abijah's family relocated to Owen, Indiana around in 1818. Oliver would have been about six.
Later Oliver married Delilah Middleton. In 1850 they and their children reside in Owen, Indiana next to her parents Robert and Anna Middleton. [2] During that same year Ahijah Hubble and family also reside in Owen, also living next to other members of the Middleton Family. [3]
Oliver passed away in 1875 and is buried in Owen County.
