Raymond E. “Ray” Huber, 77, of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1933 in West Conshohocken, Pa. he was the son of the late Margaret P. Breidenbach Huber and Albert C. Huber. He was the husband of Gladys Mae Huber whom he married June 30, 1956.
Before retiring he worked as an electrical engineer at Intelsat and also worked for Consat and Westinghouse. He served in the Navy, enjoyed steam engines, model airplanes, flying, crossword puzzles and was an avid guitarist.
Besides his wife he is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Sharon J. and Keith Warner of Keymar, Sandra L. and Brian Lind of Keymar, son and daughter-in-law Harold C. “Butch” and Lisa Huber of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; sister Margaret E. McDonnell of Scituate, Mass. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with his nephew, Tony McKusker officiating. Entombment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military honors.
