James Franklin Huckaby was born in October 1877 in Lucas, Iowa, the son of Martha and William. He married Myrtle Corene Sheim on May 12, 1900, in Clarke, Iowa.
They had one child during their marriage. He died in 1929 at the age of 52, and was buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, Blue Mound, Linn County, Kansas.
