Death

Ken Clagett's best recollection was that Nelson died from alcoholism, therefore, he died young and wasn't held in, shall we say, high esteem. He doesn't know whether he remembered that from hearing it when he was a kid or what, but that's what he remembers.

The Vinita Daily Journal, Vinita, Oklahoma · Wednesday, October 03, 1934, page 1 Big Cabin Man Dies After Long Illness J. N. Huckaby died Tuesday afternoon at his home near Big Cabin after a long illness. He was 48 years old. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Big Cabin, under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home. He is survived by his father, five brothers and six sisters. Note: Tuesday would be 2 Oct 1934.
