Research notes
It is traditionally known that much information has been shared about Mary Molly Huckaby. Here I am hoping to gather the evidence that will prove the information that is known into one location.
Biography
The early years
Mary Molly/Mollie Huckaby was born the 6th of July 1779 in Bedford, Virginia to Thomas Huckaby and Kesiah Nuchols.[1][2]
She was one of 9 siblings:
- John Huckaby (1775-1830)
- Patsy Huckaby (1777-1808)
- Bettie Elizabeth Huckaby (1777-?)
- Mary Molly Huckaby (1779-1860)
- Thomas Huckaby Jr. (1782-?)
- Joshua Huckaby (1784-?)
- William Isiah Huckaby (1786-1858)
- Joseph Huckaby (1789-1871)
- Nathan Huckaby (1791-1850)

Mary Molly would Jessie Bewley on the 25th of Sep 1802 in Bedford, Virginia[3]. They would have at least 5 children:
- William Talton Bewley (1803-1862)
- Thomas Bewley (1805-1875)[4]
- Jesse Jr. Bewley (1813-1880)[4]
- Nathan Bewley (1814-1869)[4]
- Nancy Bewley (1820-?)[4]

In 1850[4] We fine Jesse 67, Mary 70 listed in Division 1, Barren, Kentucky and Mary confirms her birthplace was Virginia. Jesse confirms that he is a farmer, and has a property value of about $100. Surrounding the property are many Buleys - believed to be her children and grandchildren - a few are.
