Biography

Walter Huckel was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Walter Joseph Huckel was born in 1894 in Grenfell, Colony of New South Wales, the son of James Huckel and Mary Ann Huckel.[1]

Walter married Gladys Travis at Cowra in 1916.[2]

They had four children:

  1. Eric Norman Francis (1916-?) m Ellen Ewens, no issue.
  2. Raymond Edward (1917-?) marr. Marjorie Mansion, 3 children.
  3. Ernest Walter (1919-?) marr. Wilma Perrott, 4 children.
  4. Ronald Keith (?- aft 1988) marr. Elaine Essex, dau. Sandra.

At the time of his mother's death in 1931, Walter was living in Sydney, New South Wales.[3]

Gladys died in 1961.

Walter married Helen Guinane at Sydney in 1970.[4]

Walter passed away at Woronora, Sydney, New South Wales on the 11th of September 1976, and was laid to rest with Gladys in the Woronora Memorial Park[5]
