Biography

Birth

Mary Ann Hucker was born about 1847 in Somerset, England.[1] She was the first daughter of John Hucker and Mary Day.

Arrival in Australia

Her father, John, aged 30, arrived Jan 1852 as Assisted Immigrants on the "Clifton" with his wife, Mary (31), Marianne (5) and William (3). John and Mary and their children lived at Indented Head, Victoria.[2]

Marriages

Mary Ann married James Long in 1867.[3] James died later that same year.[4]

Mary Ann married Thomas Edward Smith in 1869.[5]
