Biography

Born: Ann Hudson was born about 1742 in either Orange County or Amherst County, VIrginia. Married: On December 23, 1777, Ann Hudson married William Gillaspie.[1] Named as Legatee in Joshua Hudson's Will: Ann was named as a legatee in her father Joshua Hudson's Will executed on January 6, 1799. The bequest was to his "daughter Ann Gillaspie, 5 shillings and no more having previously given her a Negro girl". [2] Death: She died about 1838 in Madison County, Kentucky.[3]

Research Note

Some profiles have Ann's name as Nancy, but both the marriage record and her father's Will have her name only as Ann.
