Death Takes Mrs. Sandlin
Funeral services for Mrs. J.M. Sandlin, 86, prominent citizen of Lawrence county, will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Moulton Methodist Church. Mrs. Sandlin died this morning at 5:45 a.m. in Moulton.
Rev. C.M. Bynum will officiate at services, assisted by Rev. Will Ware and Bro. Guthrie. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery in Moulton, Highsmith Funeral home in charge.
A member of the Methodist church, she was the widow of the late J.M. Sandlin, founder of the first drug store in Lawrence county.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R.P. Irwin, Moulton; Mrs. B.M. Lufburrow, Savannah, Ga; seven sons, Hudson, Moulton; Monroe, Moulton; Woodfin, Florence; Russell, Ft. Worth, Texas; Ed, Jack, and Fletch Sandlin, all of Ardmore, Okla; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
