Biography

Ern Hudson is a Military Veteran.
Served in the Royal Australian Air Force 1943-1946
2nd Operational Training Unit
Victoria flag
Ern Hudson was born in Victoria, Australia

(Ern) Ernest Keith Hudson was born 27 May 1924 in Merbein, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of William Taylor Hudson & Mabel (Wall) Hudson.

Enlisted for war service RAAF 1942 and served in the 2 OPERATIONAL TRAINING UNIT.

After the war, Ern bought land & became a grape farmer on land that was close to his parent's farm in Merbein West until retirement. The Bosenberg's lived close by (I think on an adjacent vineyard). Both families were early settlers of Merbein.

Married Gladys Bosenberg 1948. 7x children.

About 1970, Ern contracted 'Murray Valley Encephalitis'. In humans it can cause permanent neurological disease or death. Ern survived the disease but never recovered to full health. He passed away 21 April 2003 in Merbein[1]. He is interred in Merbein Cemetery. His wife Gladys survives him (still living, 2022).
