Biography

Solomon Hudson was a former slave of Samuel Gist. He settled, first, in the Eagle Township Gist Settlement. He married Sally Toler on 28 Feb 1833 in Brown county, Ohio.[1] Among their children are:

  • Emily
  • Harriet

  • Charles
  • Margaret

Before 1850, the family moved to the Gist settlement in Highland, Ohio. In Solomon's household was Jeremiah Hudson, possibly Solomon's father.
