Son of Margaret Johnson and John Jessie Huey. Was born in March 1826 per the 1900 census and may have died between 1910 and 1920 as he was in the 1910 census but not in the 1920 census. According to Lee Elbert Johnson's narrative of the Johnson Cemetery, Decatur, MS, in The History Of the Johnson Family-Descendants of Isaac Johnson, Sr., John Bailey Huey is buried in this cemetery. He was a Civil War veteran, having served in the 36th Mississippi Regiment, Company I and was taken prisoner in Sep 1862 and released in Oct 1862.
