William Benjamin Douglas HUFF (Oct 1846 GA - 26 Jan 1926, bur Goshen Cem, Carroll Co) in 1867 md (1) Mrs. Mary Jane (PENDERGRASS) HOLLIDAY (15 Jul 1832 GA - 23 May 1895 Carroll Co, GA), dau of Levi PENDERGRASS, and lived in Heard Co, GA, in 1870 and 1880. He then moved to Carroll Co, GA, thence to Cullman Co, AL. There were four HOLLIDAY ch, but only two lived with the HUFF fam. HUFF ch:
1. Emma Frances (14 Jan 1868 GA - 24 Jan 1904) md Tom BRITTIAN, and BRITTIAN ch were William Brock; Ellis Jefferson; James Carl; Ralph Lee; and Troy Grady.
2. William Levi (10 Mar 1870 Heard Co, GA - 7 Feb 1937 bur Carroll Co, GA) on 10 Oct 1890 in Carroll Co md Lena Elizabeth BONNER (6 May 1875 GA - 25 June 1953) and ch incl Ludy Floy; Mary Elizabeth; Benjamin Bryan; Fannie Dora; Ernest Willie; George Terrell; Herbert Lee; Gertis Levi; Glenn; son J. T.; Helen Ella; and Mellin Camp. William L. was a Mason.
3. Henry Lee (28 Jan 1873 GA - 1953, Atlanta, GA) md Carrie LUNDSFORD (1884 GA - 21 Mar 1969, Atlanta, GA). They went to Cullman, AL, to farm, but returned to Carroll Co. They moved to Atlanta. They had one ch who died young, a son, John T., and they adopted another child, Robert CAMPBELL.
3. Robert Edward (1 Mar 1876 GA - 15 Aug 1906, Cullman, AL) in 1900 a boarder with James WHITTAKER in Holly Pond, AL.
After Mary Jane's death, William B. D. HUFF on 26 Jan 1896 md (2) Mrs. Martha Jane (HUNTER) DUKE (Jan 1855 GA - ) and she was with him, without ch, in 1900 in Cullman Co, AL. She was then too old to have ch, but she had had four DUKE ch from her first marriage. Before he went to Cullman Co, AL, William B. HUFF in 1892 was postmaster at Linesville, near Roopville, in Carroll Co, GA. He sold his farm and moved to Cullman, AL, between 1896 and 1900.
