Biography

1900 census: youngest child at home (2), along with parents and sibs Ettie, Edward, Sallie, Hunter, Angie, and Clarence. She's listed as Lillie W. No good information about where her middle name comes from, but there was a prominent family in St. Mary Parish where her father grew up, the David Weeks family, so perhaps there is a connection there.

1910 census: a transcription error has the children indexed as Hudson, not Huff, because Katie Huff was the widow Kate Hudson by this time. Other children at home are Hunter, Angie, Clarence. Mary Hudson, age 13, is also in the household.

1920 census: she and husband Orin Hargraves Sr. are living in Shreveport, Caddo, LA. Indexed as Hargrave. Orin occupation is listed as "Vackusing," a mistake for "Vulcanizer". Several lodgers, surname Bryan, live with them.

1930 census: living at 345 Euclid Ave., Beaumont, with three children. Orin occupation is Aviator, self-employed. She is "Lillie".

1940 census: widowed, "saleslady," living in Beaumont with Ed and Edith at home, 18 and 15. There is a lodger, Thomas McHale. She is "Lily".

No record found of her brief marriage to Jarnigan Campbell, which started and ended in the 1960s. He is FAG memorial 48058166.
