Hubert was born in 1892. He was the son of Harold Hughes and Margaret Price. He was christened 3rd September 1900 in Maidstone, Kent. He was living with his parents and siblings at Holland Street, Maidstone, Kent in 1901. He was still living with his mother and siblings in Maidstone, Kent and he was working as a clerk in 1911. He was in the military in 1914 in the Army Service Corps 27th, 435th Battalion. He married in 1919. He passed away in 1976.
