Biography

William was born about 1871in Faringdon, England, the son of John Hughes and Harriet Maria Kent. ^[1]

In 1893 he married Harriet Agnes Peachey, a minor from Turakina, at the Presbyterian Church in Turakina, NZ by Reverend John Ross in the presence of Charles William Peachey (Harriet's brother), a labourer from Turakina, and Celina Ann Hughes from Marton. ^[1]

William passed away in 1943 in Wanganui, NZ.
