Biography

Lorie Cecil Hughes was born the 11th of January 1904, in Greenwood Springs, Monroe County, Mississippi. Lorie used the name Cecil Cecil was the daughter of Dempsey Ward Hughes and Louie Crenshaw.

Cecil, age 15, appears in the 1920 Federal census in Marion County, Alabama in the household of her father, Dempsey W. Hughes. Cecil's name is given in this census as Lorie C. Hughes^[1]

Cecil married Geneva Whit Robbins on the 8th of December, 1928 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. Geneva's name given on marriage license and marriage bond is GW Robbins.^[2]

Cecil and Geneva Whit Robbins did not have any children.
