Biography
Sessel Hughes Jr. was awarded the Purple Heart.
Sessel was born in 1925. He was the son of Sessel Hughes and Margaret Harbarger. On 19 November 1943 he enlisted in the U S Army.[1] He served in England and France - wounded in France in November 1944, and sent home in March.[2] He was discharged on 8 April 1946.[3] Sessel enjoyed stock car racing.

He married Coletta J Murtland. Sessel played the banjo and the mandolin.[4] He passed away in 1997.[5]
