Charles Henry Hughes was born in Broughton on 25 July 1856.[1] He was the son of James Hughes (1823 - 1890) and Sarah Jones (1833 - 1924).[1]
He married Margaret Knewstubb (1864 - 1945) on 15 April 1884 in Sedbergh.[2]
He died in Gobowen on 8 May 1915, aged 58, from heart failure after suffering from heart disease.[3]
