Biography

Mary[1] was born about 1610-1615 (based on birth year of first known child) most likely in England. Her maiden name is not known.

She married first Richard Hughes. He died in 1658. With him she had the following children:

  1. Richard, b 1638 in England; was in England in Feb 1661 in the settlement of his father's estate
  2. Samuel, b Feb 1640/1; d Nov 1683
  3. Mary
  4. Deborah, m Oct 10, 165 Thomas Buck of Wethersfield
  5. Sarah, b 1 Aug 1651; "Guilford School Dame;" died unm. 17 Apr 1714
  6. Elizabeth b 14 Apr 1653
  7. Martha, b 1655; d 30 May 1729; m 2 July 1677 Nathaniel Brown of Middletown
  8. Rebecca b 1657; m1 10 Sep 1674 Alexander Bow of Middletown; m2 8 Aug 1679 Thomas Forman

She married second in 1659 William Stone.
