Death of Lady de Crespigny
Lady de Crespigny, wife of Sir Trent Champion de Crespigny, died at her home, Strangways terrace. North Adelaide, early today.
By her death, many charitable and cultural causes have lost a very fine. selfless friend. She was on the central executive of the Mothers and Babies' Health Association, and for many years its treasurer: an active member and trustee of the Lyceum Club: one of the Friends of the Public Library: a constant .worker for the English Speaking Union. One of her main patriotic interests was in Red Cross civilian relief depots.
Lady de Crespigny was Miss Beatrix Hughes, of Beaufort. Victoria. She leaves four children: Major Geoffrey de Crespigny, Mr. Adrian de Crespigny, Mrs. Hallam L. Movius, and Miss Margaret de Crespigny, a member of the Australian Women's Army Service.[6]
