Biography

Birthplace for Steve (Stephen, Steven?) Hughes is not exactly known. A couple of Census records show him possibly born in GA, but another or two show TN. It was always thought that he originally came out of Bradley or Hamilton County, TN. We know that he lived in the Soddy/Daisy area of Hamilton County for years in the later 1800's. He is buried in our family cemetery in Bledsoe County, TN.

NOTE: What I do not know are the names of his parents, where they were from, etc. This information has proven to be very elusive. If anyone has any further information for Steven/Stephen (his grave stone reads "Steve R."), I would be very thankful for that.
